Daniel Fuller Photography

Daniel Fuller became interested in photography at the age of 17 while traveling around the world as a model and world-renowned professional surfer. He took advantage of the beauty and new experiences that surrounded him documenting the culture, people and landscape.

Fuller soon began to experiment more seriously with the art of photography -- taking hundreds of photos, searching for new cameras and getting advice from other photographers. His influences include all the photographers he has worked with in his career as well as the great Ansel Adams and Hiroshi Sugimoto.

A native of Hanalei, Kauai, the evolution of Fuller’s craft was a natural and organic process for him. He found photography to be similar to surfing -- every photo is composed by elements of nature and the only way to get better is through trial and error.

Two years ago, Fuller sat in the backyard of his house in Hawaii and as an incredible full moon illuminated the Pacific Ocean, that beauty evoked a curiosity and determination to capture what he saw in a photograph. That night, he shot a single photo. After getting the proof sheet Fuller saw a glimpse of what the possibilities could be setting the catalyst for “The Lost World.”
